This year marks the 40th anniversary of the AHRM. From the initial number of four members, it has grown to more than a hundred, spread in 3 chapters- Metro Manila, Metro Cebu and Metro Davao.
We are looking forward to continuous growth with the establishment of new chapters in Northern Luzon and Bicol next year as well as the expansion of our current chapters!
Our flagship program- the Mabuhay Awards- has grown throughout the years. This year marks its 19th year. It is now considered as one of the most anticipated events in the industry.
The recognition bestowed on the winners is now highly coveted and considered passports to a fast-tracked career as hoteliers and restaurateurs.
On the eve of the ASEAN integration, we are able to appreciate the Mabuhay Awards even more. It magnifies our belief that the Filipino is truly the ASEAN’s pride!
We are also happy to note that this year’s Mabuhay Gold awardee is the first 2nd generation awardee! We are mighty proud of this as well!
We would like to thank our host hotel, the Manila Hotel, for ensuring the success of this year’s awards. We are honored that the 19th Mabuhay Awards night is the first event to take place in the newly and completely renovated Maynila ballroom.
We are also grateful for the continuing support of the Department of Tourism as co presentor of the Mabuhay Awards. You are able to make this program easier to mount and organize!
To my colleagues in the board of directors, the 19th Mabuhay Awards committee, the members of all AHRM chapters, I thank you all for the good work.
To this year’s nominees, congratulations to all of you! You inspire all of us in the industry. Your performance is truly worth emulating!
Mabuhay!
